Filled extension, can I finish tax return before original due date

I think I saw the same question somewhere but I could not find it.  Sorry.

As the subject, even I file the extension, can I finish the tax return before original due date? I am still waiting for one doc. Once I get it, I would like to file the tax return.

An extension request gives you until October 16, 2023 to file the 2022 tax return.  However, any taxes owed must be paid on or before April 18, 2023.

A 2022 tax return can be completed and filed using TurboTax online editions at any time on or before October 16, 2023.
