Why doesn't TT ask if I want another person to be able to discuss my tax return instead of just default to no on third party designee?

Using the TurboTax desktop editions click on Forms

When in Forms mode click on the Federal Information Worksheet (Info wks) on the left side of the screen

Scroll down to Part VI of the worksheet.  The selection for a Third Party Designee will be available.  This will transfer to your Form 1040.
