It seems that during tax filing season there are weekly program updates for the Federal program and also the appropriate States programs where needed. My recollection that in prior years each update would have a brief explanation as the reason for the update, i.e. fixing a bug related to a tax item etc. I don't see those anymore and while updates are being implemented how does someone know it's fixed their particular issue?
Is there a way to review the usual weekly updates for explanations of the updates?
This question pertains directly to a question I started a stream on several weeks ago as to the 2026 Estimated Tax calculation in the 2025 TurboTax Deluxe version which was generating incorrect estimated tax information and if and when that might be corrected. How will I know if the update has taken place without going into the actual program process and see if the calculation has changed?
The Estimated Tax calculation get furthered muddied for us SC Tax filers as are Legislature couldn't decide whether to accept the OBBB changes for 2025 and extended the filing of SC returns to October, 15; finally decided not to conform and then recently passed legislation to disconnect from Federal Tax regulations effective with 2026. Thus instead of starting with Federal Taxable Income, SC will now I believe use Federal AGI, or a version thereof, which of course will make any 2026 SC Estimated Tax Calculation in TurboTax possibly wrong, if a person isn't aware of this change, without an update.
If and when TurboTax does an update for this SC Tax Legislation change, it would be nice to be informed of that update. Thanks All.

Intuit stopped issuing release notes for TurboTax updates years and years ago.
They considered, apparently, bringing them back at one point, but that was over 6 years ago and it never happened.
