Should I assume I'm not eligible for earned income credit? When I subtract schedule 1 line 8 with my original AGI I get $8,725. When I use the $10,200 because it's way lower I get $26,325. I'm thinking I didn't do this right. It's a difference of $17,600. How much should I be getting back now? Does this seem like a large difference?

Then compare that with the difference shown on your tax return now (without playing around with it) after the software update versus your original.
If they are the same, you don't have to amend.
