Excess social security tax

I work for a large corporation and had two different jobs with them in 2021-each in a different tax entity for the corporation.   Each gave me a w2 with full social security tax taken out.  (Hence excess tax was removed).  The w2s have the same employer ID.   turbotax says I should get a refund from my employer.  My employer says that since they are separate tax entities it is like multiple employers and should be handled thru my federal tax file.  How do I get TurboTax to handle correctly on my tax return?

I'm not an expert on this and hence this is only a suggestion.

Enter one W-2, containing the totals from your 2 W-2's.  I believe Turbotax should find the excess social security tax withheld.  Confirm that this is the case before filing.
