OR

Are you going thru the pages that are used to estimate, or prepare & pay your Quarterly estimated taxes for 2024?

If so, the payments you enter on that page, are part of the calculation that TTX makes to figure out what your next quarterly estimated taxes $$ amount should be.  Thus, if you haven't made any quarterly estimated payments yet, you'd enter zero's in at least the first two boxes (and 3rd qtr empty if you are going to pay the 3rd qtr before 16 Sep.).

(And make sure you've entered the annual Federal tax withholding that you expect to be done on your paychecks (and spouse's if married), or other tax forms, for the whole 2024 year, in the box provided higher up on the same page)

___________________

Example:

1)  If the data you entered on the previous pages, indicate you will be short (say) $4000 for 2024 at tax time, and you have not yet made any quarterly estimated payments, then the software will determine that you need to make a $2000 payment for the 3rd Qtr before 16 Sept 2024, and another $2000 more before 15 Jan 2025.

2)    If the data you entered on the previous pages, indicate you will be short (say) $4000 for 2024 at tax time, and you have already made (say) two $500 quarterly payments ($1000 total so far), then the software will determine that you need to make a $1500 payment for the 3rd Qtr before 16 Sept 2024, and another $1500 more before 15 Jan 2025.
