I use turbotax self employed online version. I notice even after leaving the qualified family and leave section blank while answering the questions . It mistakenly pulls total social security + medicare+ federal income tax from line 8a into line 8c instead of leaving line 8c blank. Is anybody else having the same problem?

It would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2021" file that is experiencing this issue.
You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions:
Go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools.
We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
Your return is correct as is. If you manually go through the Worksheet 4 from the instructions for line 8c, you see it is just a poorly worded line item on the return. It is calculating the maximum credit allowed. Since you left the section blank, it is correctly not reporting any credit to the amount you owe.
For access to the Worksheet or more information on Schedule H please see 2021 Instructions for Schedule H (2021).
From what you said if line 8c is just reporting the maximum credit that is allowed. I am not able to make sense of line 8d {8a-(8b+c)} based on return should be zero. My return actually shows a number 534(I am not how they came up with that number).
I have a schedule H from third party payroll service( sure payroll) which i use to compare with TurboTax there seems to be a discrepancy in lines 8c and 8d even though at the end credit is correctly not applied.
We are looking into this further, but it appears to be an error that is not affecting the calculation of your tax. If you are otherwise ready to do so, you can go ahead and file your return.
Thank you, I cannot file Schedule H until 03/17/22 since IRS is updating Schedule H. I am hoping it would be corrected by then.Please let me know if it's fixed before that. I would rather file with correct steps eventhough it doesnt affect the tax at end. @AliciaP1
Any updates on correcting the error i want to make sure there is a timeline on when it would be fixed
@AliciaP1
The issue may not be fixed until the deadline. I have two options to suggest:
