Error msg on deductions

I received error message stating I could not use the same SSN for alimony and present spouse. I remarried my ex-wife after 7 years of being divorced. We remarried in June last year and she was receiving half of military pension. How or where do I capture this to complete and not receive error.

You should not report the alimony income or deduction on your tax return. Since one will offset the other, your tax will be accurately stated if you leave it off the return.

The military pension she received would be reported as retirement income, not alimony.
