Upgraded to new Windows 11 computer and trying to install previous versions of TurboTax software. 2024 thru 2020 worked fine. Installed TurboTax Business 2019, but when enter license code (14 digit in 4-5-5 digit format)
get a message saying "There was an error with validating your license code, please try again. Error code: 630"
Have tried a few times and double checked the character entry to no avail. Continue to get the same error message.

You got 2020 installed ok? They only support the last 3 years. 2019 was the first year they started using the License Code. So 2019 and 2020 need to verify the License Code but I think they turned off the server to verify older years. Even if you get older years installed you can't update them or download any state programs you need.
How to contact Turbo Tax

on my new Mac with premier version I found 2019 wouldn't activate either; 2020 activated but wouldn't install state so I couldn't open my old return anyway
Thanks, thought it might be something like that.
After manually copying the state directory over from the old computer, did manage to get TurboTax 2020 (both Deluxe and Business versions) to load OK.
That is probably good enough, since have copies of the tax forms themselves for all years, and at this point don't expect to make any changes for those older years, just thought as long as had space on the new computer, would install them for 'completeness'.
