- Run as Administrator: Right-click the TurboTax icon and select "Run as administrator" to ensure proper activation.
- Rename or Delete Data Folder: Locate and rename the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Intuit\TurboTax folder to force the program to create a new, uncorrupted configuration file.
Is it the 2024 or the 2024 program that gives the error? You may need to uninstall/reinstall a fresh download. Sign In to your Intuit account and go to Products/Downloads after uninstalling the old program.
