Entire retirement section is not ready???

I used Turbo Tax premium yesterday to fill out my return - everything was completed except the retirement section.  The software said Turbo Tax was basically not ready to handle retirement info because the IRS rules were not finalized.  Once they were ready it said I would get an email.  All good, except the return was finalized and sent to the IRS.  How can this happen if Turbo Tax tells you the section is not ready?  Why don't they tell people "we are not ready to help you with your return, we are still figuring out the rules."???  Would've been nice to know before spending $100 yesterday.  Now I have a mess with trying to amend my return, which I was told by Turbo Tax on the phone that I cannot do until Feb. 19.  Great.
