Has anyone gotten updates on their refund that claimed earned income credit or the child tax credit besides being told that IRS will begin processing those returns on Feb 15? Which makes no sense if the status says accepted and processed.  Just wondering if anybody got theirs earlier.  Funny how those that claim these credits obviously desperately need it or wouldn't qualify for the credit in 1st place, but IRS wants to delay..

The IRS told early filers that refunds from tax returns that claim the earned income tax credit and the additional child tax credit are expected to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or on debit cards by March 3, 2025.

If your taxes are Accepted it is a good thing, but does not mean your refund is on the way.

  • It means that their were no technical errors like Social Security Numbers that were wrong.
  • It also means that TurboTax does not have any control of your  return.
  • If you are being told that it's still in process, the IRS has not finished checking it out.
