EFile is not an option for me as it says I need to use a 1040 form. I have no itemized deductions for 2018 so why can't I EFile?

Make sure you do not have any errors in your return. Check for any overrides since that can prevent EFile. "Tax returns that contain non-final forms, prior-year returns, amended returns, and the 6th return you try to e-file in the TurboTax software will also be rejected."
