Economic Impact Payment /American Rescue Plan 2021

Hello,

I am in the process of self-preparing our 2021 taxes using TurboTax Premier, and I would like to find out if the amount received for the American Rescue Plan (3rd Economic Stimulus) should be entered. This was sent out around Aril 2021 in the amount of $1400/person . If this should be entered in TurboTax as well, where would I go to enter this amount?

Yes, this will need to be entered into your return as the IRS will reconcile the payments on your return. There will be a pop-up question as part of the Federal Review section in TurboTax for all returns to ask if you received a 3rd stimulus payment and if so, how much was the payment. 

If you wish to go there directly, you can use search at the top right, by clicking on the magnifying glass and entering "stimulus" in the search box. It will return help articles and you can click on Jump to Stimulus link to access it directly.
