Hi -
When trying to e-file, I am facing error message 601ERRV:4, CustHdr_5.0 ?:? - Invalid Primary SSN
I have cross-checked and my SSN number is correct on forms.
Has anyone else faced the same error?
Can you help.
I am looking forward avoiding a paper filling.
Thanks,
B.

Invalid Primary SSN error message, means that there may be too many numbers, a space, or characters added. For further assistance, please contact us by phone, Customer support phone number - TurboTax
Thanks. Tried this. Does not work.
No one faced this error message before (zero results in Google and in this community forum).
Support people on the phone have no clue about it.
I need a Tech person to debug the interface between TurboTax software and the IRS e-file structure.
Of course, I have checked at the SSN numbers 20 times in all the forms.
I am adding a screenshot below:
If you keep having issues, please mail your tax return instead.
How do I print and mail my return in TurboTax Online...
Sure I can print and mail the federal return plus my two state returns.
But the whole purpose of using turbotax and paying for the state e-file fees is to avoid that.
TurboTax does not charge to e-file. They charge for the tax program.
Well I had to pay $50 + tax for the right to e-file to MA and to NJ states.
Nasty surprise at the end of the process when you already paid for the software plus the additional state.
But I guess that's right, this e-file fee is for the software service to e-file indeed.
What's comical is that eventually it does not work. What a joke...
You may be able to receive a refund since you were not able to e-file. Please see the following help article for more information: Can I get the e-filing fee refunded if my state return got rejected?
I am receiving a similar error (interestingly, mine is numbered ERRV:3) and Turbo Tax has been entirely unable to figure this out, aside from admitting this is a technical issue on their side. I've called multiple times with no resolution and nobody within Turbo Tax seems familiar with this error. Have attempted to delete and re-enter info as well, no luck. I think I will have no choice but to paper file (which is significantly more challenging with no printer...). Has anyone been updated on this?
