Do I have to remove the excess 401k contribution from my w2 (income section) after having report them as misc. income in TT to efile? TT will not let me efile otherwise.

E-FILE does work now. Thanks for all your help @macuser_22

Note: in case you already printed as a contingency plan you have to change your payment method to online if you want it all handled by TT during E-FILE.

If you skip this part then IRS Payments will take a electronic payment and you don't have to mail in your 1040-V which is nice and way cheaper then TT processing fees.
