Hello. I am ready to file my taxes in the app, however I'm trying to save money. Premier and state is costing me $193.

I found TT download on Amazon for $80. Would I be able to purchase TT digital download from Amazon and be able to login to my old TT account to complete my filing?

You are comparing prices for online TurboTax to the price for the CD/download. Does your computer meet the system requirements to use the CD/download? You need a full PC or Mac--not any kind of mobile device.

Yes if you buy and install the Desktop CD/Download program you can move your return from online without paying for Online.

First save the tax file from Online. You can download the .tax2023 data file without paying for Online and continue in the desktop version

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).

You can buy the downloaded product from Amazon, install it on a computer and use it to do your taxes instead of the online product. Follow the instructions below to switch from online to desktop.
