Download What I Have Done So Far

I originally purchased Self-Employed thinking that the TurboTax component of it would be all I need to file my taxes (without an accountant, yay!).  I travel a lot for work, and worked in 19 different states in 2019.  TurboTax allowed me to list all of the states that I would need to file tax returns in and told me it would help me file them all, no problem.  A long road ahead, sure, but I was fine with that.  All was going well, until my 6th state return...

Turns out that TurboTax won't let you fill out more than 5 state returns.  It says I have to delete one before doing another.  And it gave me NO WARNING when I listed out all of the states I need to do returns for.  Thank you for telling me that AFTER I wasted nearly half a day filling out the first 5 returns.  Needless to say I am extremely dissatisfied.

So I will be taking my business to an accountant, like I should've in the first place (unless there's a way for TurboTax to e-file 14 additional state returns for $0 extra).

I need to download what I have done so far (so I can send to my accountant to pick up where I left off), at no charge.  All of the instructions I've read say I have to pay to do so.  I've been paying the subscription for Self-Employed for nearly a year now, so I've already been scammed for my money on Self-Employed (fine, I'll live with it).  But I won't let it happen again just to download my own incomplete tax documents.

You can download the .tax2019 data file for free.  But then you need a desktop program to open it.  So you could buy a lower Desktop program like Deluxe to open it.   I'm not sure if an accountant can open it using the professional Intuit programs.

Thank you for the quick response.   I took a look at the instructions in the link.

So I gather that in order to gain readable access to my own personal tax documents, my only option is to pay them more money for a piece of software I don't otherwise want or need?  Do I have any free options to do this?
