Can't Open TurboTax. Used CCleaner to clean computer and update software. When done, several programs wouldn't open. I fixed this, in part, by reinstalling Chrome and Microsoft Edge, but I hesitated when attempting to reinstall TurboTax. My taxes were done, but not filed. If I uninstall current program and reinstall the program, will I lose my data or will it be found and used by the reinstalled program?

Your tax return is in a separate data file ending in .tax2025 and should be in your Documents in a Turbo Tax folder. Look around and make sure you have that file. You should copy it to a flash drive for backup.
I don't think anyone can guarantee anything about someone else's computer system. There are too many variables. It can also depend on where your tax data files are located. In Windows the default folder for the data files is the Documents\TurboTax folder. The files in that folder are not "supposed" to be affected by uninstalling, but it pays to exhibit caution. If you stored them somewhere else, you might have to be even more careful. Regardless, I would definitely make copies and back up all your *.taxYYYY data files (including multiple years if present) and also any return PDFs you made and store them somewhere such as an external drive or thumb drive--just in case. You should be backing them up somewhere anyway. I back up my tax data file frequently while working on my return since I have seen some anecdotes in this forum about tax data files going missing for other reasons.
