I believe the 30% discount is only for the Online versions, not the Desktop download program.
Here is a post with the 30% discount email details. It is only for the Online version
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/how-do-i-use-your-emailed-offer-when-i-ve-already...
It says….. *Special limited-time offer: Get 30% off TurboTax Online Do It Yourself Deluxe or Premium, TurboTax Expert Assist, or TurboTax Expert Full Service when you file your 2025 federal and state return. Discount cannot be combined with any other offers for federal or state products. Actual prices are determined at the time of print or e‑file and are subject to change without notice. Additional terms, conditions, and limitations might apply. This offer will expire on April 15, 2026.
OK, perhaps, but I have never used the online version of TurboTax (nor do I ever intend to), so I don't know why Intuit thinks that is a useful / reasonable offset for discontinuing ItsDeductable?
A lot of people use the Online version, maybe more than the Desktop program. And since you need WIndows 11 to install the 2025 Desktop program people will be switching to the Online version. They seem to be trying to move people into the Online version.
The TurboTax release for macOS supports the last (3) OS versions; Why would Intuit require Windows 11? MS still supports Windows 10 through the ESU program, so it should be good. If Intuit still wants to so severely limit its OS support, I see that pushing people more to migrate to competitor's products rather than to Intuit's online versions.
Sorry I only mentioned Windows because most of the posts have been about discontinuing Windows 10. For Mac you will need Mac OS Sonoma 14 or later
