Did you work as a nanny in their home or in your own home? If you worked in their home, did you earn more than $2700 in 2024?
I worked in their home making around $2500 monthly for about 6 months. When I had initially asked to get a W2 form or something going they said it wasn't necessary at the time (I think this is their way of trying to get me to cover the portion of taxes THEY are supposed to pay).
If they paid you at least $2700 they would have been required to issue a W-2. Since you earned less, they are not required to treat you as a Household Employee.
You have self-employment income.
If you have self-employment income for which you will pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare, you will need to use online Premium software or any version of the desktop software download so that you can prepare a Schedule C for your business expenses.

But they paid me around $15,000 in total during 2024- is the $2,700 monthly?
You should have been given a W-2. This website gives a very good explanation of your options:
If you do not receive a W-2, then you would report your income in the "Less Common Income - Miscellaneous Income" section of TT. When you start that section, choose the option "Other Income not already reported on a Form W-2 or a Form 1099", and then proceed through all the follow-up questions.
@TomD8 @agudeman8 Oh...wow----I missed that you said "monthly" for the $2500 and thought you meant for the entire time you worked for the family. Champ @TomD8 is absolutely correct. They were supposed to issue a W-2 to you.
