The IRS has simplified Form 1040 for 2018 by moving many of the entries that used to be on Form 1040 to a set of six separate schedules. This has also resulted in changing the line numbers on Form 1040 itself. For 2017 and earlier, line 37 was Adjusted Gross Income (AGI). It's at the bottom of page 1 of Form 1040 for 2017 and earlier. On the 2018 Form 1040 Adjusted Gross Income is on line 7. It's near the top of page 2 of Form 1040 for 2018. There is no line 37 on the 2018 Form 1040.
