Do I need to sign my 1040 when I mail in California State Tax Return? I electronically filed my 1040 to the IRS and it has been accepted.

I plan on mailing my state tax return.  I know I need to sign the state tax return.  I don't know if I have to sign the 1040 that I will turn in with my state tax forms.  Since I electronically filed my 1040, it is not signed.

No you don't have the sign the 1040 copy.  Just your state return.
