I have a Daughter who is turning 26 in December.  Will I still be able to claim her as a dependent if she is disabled and I provide for her?  Is she considered disabled if she does not work and is on SSI?  She does get approximately 500.00 a month in SSI/SSDI.

Hi, for children 18 years or older who have been disabled before the age of 22 and continue to be disabled, Social Security benefits may be paid to them if they retire, or become disabled. Social Security benefits for disabled children may continue as long as they are unable to work because of their disability. You can claim the dependent, as long as she is disabled. Yes, she is still disabled if she does not work and is on SSI. Here is an Intuit link about it. https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/disability/video-tax-credits-for-disabled-dependents/L7fCh4fpU
