Turbotax shows I own a business, but I do not. How do I remove this ?

When the program shows its carrying over information from the previous year, it shows I owned a business.
How do I get rid of that ? Because I did not own a business.

Did you have a 1099MISC that was included on your return in a prior year?  If so, that may be why it thinks you're in business.

Back in 2012 & 2013 I ran a small business of my own. But 2014+ I have not. So I am unsure of how to remove that status.

Try using the steps below to remove any unnecessary forms from your return.

1. Go to "My Account" in the top right corner

2. Select "Tools"

3. Under "Tools Center" select "Delete a Form"

4.  Navigate to "Schedule C, 1099-MISC(or any other form you used in 2012 & 2013 that is no longer needed)" and select "Delete" next to it

On Mac desktop app:
1. Go to Forms mode
2. Select Schedule C or 1099-Misc forms in left (blue) panel.
3. Go to Menu Bar (status bar) > Forms > Delete "Schedule C" form.
