Did the money get sent?

We owe fair amount of money and went to pay.  In turbotax we had an error did not think it would matter.  In process to file we first paid - putting in routing number etc, then when we tried to file turbotax would not let us proceed because of error.

 

OK - we found out how to fix error (thanks to this forum).   We can now go to submit again - should work fine.  My question is did money go through?  Don't want to pay twice.   Is there some way to track if payment submitted?

No, from your description, it doesn't sound like you paid the amount due since you got an error on your return before you e-filed it. 

 

Generally, 7 to 10 days after your return is accepted by the IRS, you can call the IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 1-888-353-4537 to inquire about or cancel your payment.
