If you have downloaded the software, entered the license code and updated the software, you are ready to prepare a tax return. Open the program from your own hard drive, go to the tool bar and click New Return to start preparing a tax return.

Why did you download the program? Are you switching from the Online version? Or need to amend a prior year? If you already started Online or need to amend you need to download the data file ending in .tax or .tax2023, etc.
