Hi, I would like to know if I could claim a dependents Form 1098 mortgage interest statement for a property that is not in my name on my tax return.

No. If you are not listed on the mortgage you cannot claim the interest as a deduction on your tax return.

Only the mortgage holder can claim the interest on their tax return.
