Dependent childs social security payment

When I retired my dependent daughter (in college) received $14,624 social security payments in 2024 reported on SSA 1099.  She also received $606 in part time wages and a 1099 Div reporting $630 in ordinary dividends.  She also received a a $22,386 grant from her college, which was used for tuition and education expenses.    Are the Social Security payments and the  grant taxable?  Will these put her over the limit requiring her to file a tax return?

Dependent childs social security payment

The SSA benefits are included on her tax return along with the wages and dividends.

The grant is only taxable for the portion not used for qualified education expenses. See Topic no. 421, Scholarships, fellowship grants.

It looks like her gross income exceeds the filing limit and a return is needed. To verify, please go through the quick quiz, Filing requirement - Do I need to file a tax return?
