I updated, quit TT and even restarted my laptop. Still not working. Are you on Windows or Mac?

Oh yes it is going to be after February 13, as it's 6 pm EST on the 13th and no depreciation entries allowed.
I was informed that the update to depreciation/amortization would be ready 2/13/2026 - I tried it and it is not ready - Don't know when it will be ready and there are no new updates listed in TurboTax update site

They did not fix it today. Yet another delay.
Here it is the evening of February 13th, still not available! Please give us an update; we're anxiously waiting!
Intuit, it is the weekend and no updates. Thanks for lying to us yet again. Any new projections when you will move the goal post to? A lot of delays and not a single valid explanation or apology...just statements that the team is working hard on it, which appears not to be the case, at least to me.
Feb 14th and no change.
2 weeks since my original post...
This is taxes not rocket science....
Are the laws changing everyday?
How come other tax software and the dayum lady in Walmart do not have any issues yet the company that invented self-done tax software cannot figure this out?
Did Turbo tax have some sort of huge layoff?
I would love to know WHY the delay so I can understand and decide if I should stick with Turbo Tax next year.
All the other personal tax software are capable of importing my TT form so no issue there.
TT reply with WHY, please.
The work on that section of TurboTax (Rental and depreciation of rentals) is still in process. The updates are now scheduled to be released with next week's updates, which usually come through Thursday night.
REALLY! NOW ITS NEXT THURSDAY!!!!! the 19th??????
No! Me too! They need to resolve this!
system will not let me update depreciation section
You can request a refund for your Intuit product here: https://accounts.intuit.com/app/oirr
H&R Block posts a schedule at this link with a clear indication that Form 4562 will be available on 2/27: https://www.hrblock.com/tax-software/updates-back-editions/federal-forms-available/
(I doubt the above link will work by the way. Intuit seems to engage in link-sanitizing -- they won't allow a functional URL to a competitor to exist on their forum. You can use Google to find H&R Block's schedule if needed).
Intuit also posts this information at this link, but they outline that Form 4562 is ready now, when it clearly is not:
https://form-status.app.intuit.com/tax-forms-availability/formsavailability?albRedirect=true&product...
I appreciate H&R Block's transparency and after watching this forum for the last two weeks, it was enough for me to make the switch this year.
Clearly this issue is only a small part of the changes in the tax code. Even though H&R Block may have "transparency" and they say that the D&A portion will be available next Tuesday, Feb 17, I'm not sure if that is a compelling reason to switch. TurboTax still push automatic updates to the tax programs well after the taxes are filed--am sure that other companies do that as well. Yes, it is inconvenient, but I don't see this delay as a big deal--haven't had a significant tax refund in a few years, this year will be no different.
As far as the comparison with rocket science goes--rocket science is based in the unchanging laws of physics and chemistry--our country's tax code is incredibly complex/convoluted and changes sometimes radically from year to year.
As long as I can continue to do taxes on my own computer (and not online) I will continue to do them on TurboTax. The only compelling reason for me to drop TurboTax is if we went to a straight flat tax.
We all draw our lines in different places. For me, transparency is just the starting point. Intuit has changed significantly over the years, and TurboTax now plays a major role in driving Intuit’s debt-related products. That shift explains why advertising feels so aggressive within TurboTax—and, in my view, sometimes misleading. H&R Block has its own issues, but Intuit operates on a different scale. You'll get your taxes done just fine sticking with Intuit. I'm simply sharing that I personally find it a relief to break free. I also think they'll only get worse as time goes on.
