Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Clearly this issue is only a small part of the changes in the tax code. Even though H&R Block may have "transparency" and they say that the D&A portion will be available next Tuesday, Feb 17, I'm not sure if that is a compelling reason to switch. TurboTax still push automatic updates to the tax programs well after the taxes are filed--am sure that other companies do that as well. Yes, it is inconvenient, but I don't see this delay as a big deal--haven't had a significant tax refund in a few years, this year will be no different.

As far as the comparison with rocket science goes--rocket science is based in the unchanging laws of physics and chemistry--our country's tax code is incredibly complex/convoluted and changes sometimes radically from year to year.

As long as I can continue to do taxes on my own computer (and not online) I will continue to do them on TurboTax. The only compelling reason for me to drop TurboTax is if we went to a straight flat tax.
