Death of primary taxpayer - AGI or Self-select PIN not match

I have been using Turbotax to do my parents tax returns for the past 3 years. My father (primary taxpayer) passed away last year. I have entered all of the information including the date of his death in Turbotax and filed "Married Filing Jointly". The AGI is correct (Turbotax wont let me change it anyway) and I was only prompted to enter my mother's info, i.e., driver license, self-select PIN from last year. It keeps getting rejected stating the primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records. I tried entering my dad's pin instead of my mom's - that did not work either.  Is it possible to file this electronically? If so, what is the secret?

Death of primary taxpayer - AGI or Self-select PIN not match

Time-saving Tip: If what you entered is correct and you continue to get a reject, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return.

Death of primary taxpayer - AGI or Self-select PIN not match

Thank you so much to finally give me an answer WHY I received a total of six  IRS rejections as kept trying both deceased spouse ID # then my ID#, even reversed them, and was same ID used previous years with no problems.  So, yes only way to go is mailing the tax returns.   Only question now is do I get a refund on the e-filing fee I paid  on two state returns that I also had to mail?
