Last night I noticed that my net worth went down drastically. Turns out that all of a sudden my Newport Group (401k) account is now set to "inactive" - which is not true. And when I try to reset it to "active" your system automatically marks it at "inactive". How do I get this fixed?

I have the exact same issue.
I have the same problem
This happened to me in August too. Then it repaired itself. Now it's down again going on three weeks. Mint support links to this community so it makes no sense to say this is for TurboTax - if this is only for TurboTax why does Mint's support site point us here?
I faced a similar issue back in August, and it was resolved on its own. However, now it's down again and has been for nearly three weeks. I find it perplexing that Mint support directs users to this community. If this community is solely for TurboTax, then it raises the question of why Mint's support site is leading us here.

You have to ask Mint that question.
If your Newport Group (401k) account was suddenly marked as "inactive" and cannot be reset to "active," first check for system maintenance or issues on the Newport Group's side. Try reconnecting your account manually by removing and re-adding it to the financial platform. If the problem persists, contact Newport Group's customer service to verify your account status, and also reach out to the financial platform's support team to investigate the issue. Clearing your browser cache or app data may also help resolve the syncing problem Softmola.
It sounds frustrating to have your Newport Group account marked as "inactive" when it’s actually still active. This could be a syncing or account recognition issue on the platform’s side. I’d recommend reaching out to support directly to ensure that your 401k data is correctly synced. It might also help to unlink and then relink the account to see if that resolves the problem. Hopefully, it’s just a small glitch that can be fixed quickly!
Hi there,
That sounds frustrating! It’s definitely not ideal for something as important as your 401k account to randomly be set to "inactive." I’d recommend reaching out directly to Newport Group’s support team to report the issue. Sometimes systems glitch unexpectedly, and it might take a manual fix from their end.
In the meantime, if this has been affecting your account balance or net worth, it’s understandable that you’d want it resolved quickly. Hopefully, they can fix it, and you’ll be back on track.
On a lighter note, it’s crazy how these things can affect your peace of mind—almost like it’s a plot for some kind of entertainment thriller! 😅
Good luck, and let me know if you need any more suggestions!
That sounds super frustrating—sorry you’re dealing with that. I’ve had similar issues before where connected accounts just drop out of nowhere (had something like this happen with a subscription linked to my movie app[removed]), and it’s always a hassle.
If you haven’t already, I’d suggest reaching out to support directly with screenshots. They were pretty helpful when I had a syncing issue—hopefully it’s just a glitch with the Newport Group connection.
Fingers crossed it gets sorted soon!
