Computing estimated tax for June 15

I’ve paid my federal estimated tax for  April 15 2026 by dividing the 2025 Form 1040 total taxes  by 4.

however, I realized that my income this year will be less than the previous year.
The next estimated tax payment is due June 15.   I understand that I would only need to report my income for the months of April and May.  Is there a reliable calculator I can use to get the actual tax amount due?  My income will only be from my investment accounts for the two months.

Computing estimated tax for June 15

Is there a reliable calculator I can use to get the actual tax amount due? not really. Tax law changes for the year can throw off the calculations. Even in simple situations, the calculation can be complex

to be more precise about the method you want to use - the Annualized Installment Income Method -use page 3 of the 2025 Form 2210. It's not 100% accurate because of all the special calculations that even a taxpayer solely with investment income must make.

The standard deduction for 2026 is single or married filing separately $16,100, joint or qualifying widower $32,200, Head of household $24,150.

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f2210.pdf . This is the 2025 form. It does not include any special calculations that may be needed when you actually do your  2026 return. TurboTax will probably have these calculations in its 2026 app, which, when it comes out around 11/26 will be based mostly on 2025

you can also search the web for calculators. there are many. accuracy unknown
