Community property or not?

Married filing separately in Texas.  Been married three years.  Using TurboTax Home and Business.   I'm always confused about the Community Property question. An accountant friend said we don't need to do the Community Property worksheet, but I am wondering if she was wrong.  We own a home together with the title in both of our names, we share two cars, and we both work jobs from which we receive W2s.  I have a side business from which I receive 1099's.  Am I, or my wife (or both) supposed to answer YES to the Community Property question and fill out the worksheet, or does this not apply to us?  Thanks in advance

See this TurboTax support FAQ if you are filing separately in a community property state - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/taxation/married-filing-separately-commu...

Community property or not?

Yes, since you are filing separately and live in a Community Property state (Texas) you each need to claim one half the community property.
