Check was was mailed to the wrong address, marked undeliverable, Treasury already has cancelled the check and IRS have verified new address. How long to get a new check?

Once the check is mailed, it should arrive to your home in 3-5 business days. If they've already verified the new address, it shouldn't take long for them to mail it.

I understand that. My wondering is how long until the IRS issues a new check? It was returned on Monday and today they hadn’t seen it was returned. The Dept of Treasury told me it was cancelled on Monday.

Come back undeliverable. Mine was mailed on March 6 to a non existent address but they say they haven’t received the check back

My check was received back to the Dept of Treasury LAST Monday. Spoke with IRS yesterday and the very nice woman stated that the monies have been received back to the IRS... she said I was in the “final” stages of “pending” and that she was “told” to say (as per the script) 6-8 weeks. However, she was very nice and said,that it shouldn’t take more then 2 weeks. But she did say to check WMR daily. I’m sorry that is of no help.

3/2 mailed they received it back 3/12

Hey. I called yesterday they say my check came in March 21 and I have a new mailed out date of March 29
