I can not be sure, but I would expect that you will. I don't think they will present a check to a person whose identity they are not sure of.
Any information on how we can go about doing that if the offices are closed?
I recommend contacting your local Taxpayer Advocate. Currently, the Taxpayer Advocacy Service remains open to receive phone calls at the local phone numbers, but has suspended walk-in services in their offices and their toll-free centralized number is unavailable until further notice.
