Check This Entry: Dividend Income Worksheet. Payer should not be left blank or empty.

I am having an issue for my IA State returns. It says, "Check This Entry: Dividend Income Worksheet. Payer should not be left blank or empty.  A payer name for this Dividend Income is required". Except I do have a payer name listed. It won't let me do anything to "fix" the issue, it just sends me to a screen asking me to file by mail. I have gone back to the federal dividend 1099 and tried editing the payor name both lengthening it and shortening it but to no avail I keep getting the error message.

There are no known issues with IA. You clearly understand federal entry and flow to the state. You have worked with the name. There should be no space before the name. Try one more time and make sure there is no space. If that fails, we need to move to the next phase.

Follow these steps:

Desktop version:

  1. Delete the form 1099
  2. Save your return while closing the program.
  3. Update the program
  4. Open
  5. Enter the information again.

Online version:

A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

For stuck information follow these steps:

  1. Delete the  1099
  2. Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
    • Don't use Internet Explorer.
    • Clear cache and cookies,
    • Sign in using a different browser.
    • Sign in using a different device.
  3. Log back into your return.
    • Enter the information again.

I am having the same issue. Have you been able to figure anything out?

Check This Entry: Dividend Income Worksheet. Payer should not be left blank or empty.

I am not using the online version of Turbo Tax. I am using the downloaded one. How do I know which one is causing the issue?
