Charitable donations for state taxes

I was able to enter my charitable donations while doing my federal taxes but don't see the same when filling out my state taxes. Do Charitable donations get carried automatically to state returns or do some states just not recognize charitable donations as tax deductible?

If your state recognizes charitable donations as deductions, then the amount will be carried to the state automatically from the Federal return.

Generally, your state would need to have an option to claim itemized deductions before you would see charitable donations included on the state return.
