I've read where Turbo tx will no longer offer the CD in a box via retail locations. I know that all the CD does is allow one to download the full microgram but it alps gives the user a hard proof of purchase with a validation code. I just shacked and your main competitor, H&R block offers the same level that I needed for half what Turbo Tax does.
Due to not being able to buy a hard box/disc, you've lost a long term customer. I've never made enough to owe any tax money since I'm on disability for 25 years but do have a few stocks which require a version above basic.
It made it easy to download from my stock acct and didn't have to fill in-the background data such as address each year since Turbo picked up my prior returns and info. Bye Bye

Everything you mention here can be done easily with the download.

The desktop download software can import from your stock account, transfer your prior year tax file, and populate all of the personal information from the old return to the new one.
The difference between the download and the CD is the lack of putting a piece of plastic in a disk drive. The other tax software companies have eliminated CD's this year.
