Car Donation

My son doesn't make enough to deduct a car donation.  If the car is in his name can I still deduct it from my taxes or would he need to transfer title first?

technically, he'd have to transfer the title.

remember that the car donation is only worthwhile if you itemize your own deductions.

Yes, that's what I was thinking (about transferring title), also about him unable to itemize but I do.
