Cannot access password protected file

I purchased the STANDARD Turbo Tax with a license code.  I downloaded and entered my information.  I password protected my file but when I try to retrieve it, it says the password is incorrect.  When I asked how to access my password protected file it says to 'Select Forgot Password in the password request pop-up to answer a security question' (which I did put in when I saved the file).  However, when I try to login there is no area where 'Forgot Password' show up.  When I go to FILE in the program, the password is greyed out so I cannot access it there either.  I am at a loss as to what to do.

Can I delete my file and restart using the same License Code?  HELP SOS HELP please and thanks.

The instructions you found most likely apply to the Online program.  In the Desktop (CD/Download) platform, your password is known only to you.  There is no one who can help you recover that password.

No one in the forum is able to assist you with getting another download of the product you purchased.  You'll need to contact TurboTax Customer Support.  Use the info I'm sharing below to contact Support.  Maybe a rep will be able to assist you.

How do I contact TurboTax?
