Is your Federal refund big enough to cover the fees plus the EXTRA 40 Refund Processing Service charge (45 in California)?

To pay with your refund:

  1. With your return open, select File from the side menu.
  2. On the Just a few steps left... screen, select Start or Revisit for the first step.
  3. On the next screen, select View payment options.
  4. When asked How would you like to pay for TurboTax?, select Pay with Federal Refund.

To qualify for this payment option (it is an additional $40):

  • Your federal refund must be sufficient to cover your TurboTax fees.
  • You have accepted the data use agreement at the start of TurboTax.
  • You'll need to e-file, and all tax forms must be final and available for e-file.
  • Your address cannot be foreign.
  • Form 8888 can't be on your return.
