Have you tried to manually start the setup installation? If not, try the following:
To install the TurboTax CD, start by putting the CD into your computer drive. It may take up to 4 minutes for the first screen to appear.
If installation doesn't start after 4 minutes, follow these steps:
- Make sure to insert the TurboTax CD into the CD drive on your computer
- Hold down the Windows+R keys to open the Run window
- Select Browse, and then find the TurboTax CD on your CD/DVD/RW drive (usually Drive D)
- Double-click the setup.exe file to begin the installation
- When you get to the screen Your product is installed, now let's activate it, enter your license code in the License code box, and select Continue to complete installation
- The license code is a 16-character combination of letters and numbers (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) that can be found on your CD box insert, envelope, or packing skip, or in your Download confirmation email and/or order history. Tip: If you bought the CD but your computer lacks a CD drive, you can request the downloadable version. Keep in mind, you can't use both the CD and the download—it must be one or the other.
