As NCperson mentioned, below your question it shows you are using Online Deluxe. Do you prefer to use the desktop software instead?
- Did you start a 2020 return in Online TurboTax, but want to purchase 2020 desktop software instead to install on your computer? If so, we can tell you how you can buy it and download the product.
- Or did you already purchase desktop software but are using Online TurboTax by mistake? If so, we can tell you how to download your current *.tax2020 data file from Online TurboTax to continue working on it in the 2020 desktop software without starting over.
- Or are you simply asking how to download the 2020 software that you already purchased from TurboTax?
How was your 2019 return prepared? If you prepared the 2019 return in desktop software, did you save the *.tax2019 data file?
If your 2019 return was prepared in desktop TurboTax, you can transfer the *.tax2019 data file into a 2020 desktop return. You also could transfer it into a 2020 online return, if desired. We can tell you how to do it if you wish to continue using Online TurboTax.
