Keeps taking me to federal I already paid the federal thru direct pay

if you are due a state refund there is nothing to pay - the state owes you.  on the other hand, if you owe the state you can probably pay using the state's department of revenue website.  TT filing instructions may contain the info needed to pay using the USPS. if you choose to mail it go to the p.o. so you can request proof of delivery.
