Can I just Download 2018 Turbotax Premier without purchase? I have a key for from my friend. I dont have CD drive!!

what key?  The License Code started for 2019 returns.

You have to buy the download.  Does your friend buy the CD?  You can try calling and asking for the download.

My friend has CD thats good for 5 filings. So, asked him to upload to Dropbox and I grabbed from there.

What year?  The CD/Download program can do unlimited returns and 5 free efiles.  But you can not efile 2018 and prior.  You will have to print and mail prior year returns.
