Can I include the TurboTax fee as part of "legal and professional expenses" for being self employed?

Yes, you may be able to include the TurboTax fee as part of "legal and professional expenses" if it relates to your self-employment income. For self-employed individuals, tax preparation fees are deductible as a business expense on Schedule C

However, if you also have W-2 income, you cannot deduct the portion of the TurboTax fee related to preparing your W-2 income taxes, as job-related expenses.

For more information see the TurboTax guide on self-employed expense.
