When you use TurboTax the information flows from your federal return to the state return. You cannot prepare a "stand alone" state return with this software. If you prepared a federal return elsewhere you can use your state's tax site to do a state return or you can print out the state forms and prepare it by hand to mail in. You will need to use a copy of your federal return for information that is on it.
I finished my federal taxes and Turbo tax didn't even mentioned my state return until I had filed my federal return and it had been accepted. I then did my State return upon completing it and attempting to file it you told me it would cost me the fee that I had already authorized you to take out of my Federal refund plus $55 to file my state. Does this me that I will pay the fee for filing my Federal return twice along with my State filing fee?
