Sometimes box d is blank. Leave it blank when you enter the information from your W-2.

Box D on your W-2 form is the control number that you may need to download your W-2 into TurboTax. Since you are missing that number, you may need to enter your W-2 form manually in TurboTax. You can do that in the Wages and Income section of TurboTax where you will see an input option for your W-2 form.
